I love ST as well, although I'm not really a fan of the movies.

TNG was the best, though. DS9 just sucked. The original is too old and fake looking, and Voyager... yeah. :

I love the movies. First Contact and Generations I liked. I agree ds9 wasn't that great.

I saw both Generations and First Contact ... I wasn't impressed. It really wasn't what I was expecting, especially coming from the TNG series. I did like the concept of FC, although it was done rather shoddy, imo.

It didn't draw me in. It didn't hold my interest. The series was good because the episodes kept you on the edge of your seat and thinking about what was going to happen next, whereas the movies had to have a storyline and had other crap mixed in with it which made it less interesting. Just not what I was expecting.

Hey, I use to watch TOS as kid, and it was not at all fake looking- it was amazing! 'cousre that was what, 30 years ago... :

The best SF series ever was, of course, Doctor Who.

You didn't specify movies....

If it's movies then depends on my mood. I think Empire was the best, but Jedi is my favorite, because:

Luke is much cooler(he wears all black and chokes people with the force)
Wedge Antilles voice isn't dubbed in like the previous two movies.
And the lightsaber dual in the end and the facing of Palpentine is so much more intense then any previous part of the Star Wars movies. I don't think they can top that with the new ones coming out.
