I would love to buy a Mac, but I must buy a car first :-/
Nah, that guy is stupid....
Tell me a reason why would I want to buy a Mac?
Mac had been decent platform even before OS X and it's BSD ripped off are here. But as much as I think of Mac, I don't think I want to lock myself into their way of controlling a market, totalism. Steve Jobs want everything from OS to hardware controlled by his company only. Diversity is a key to market.
Do you think that guy even tried to upgrade a Mac? Or is he, like many Mac users, buy a new machine everytime Apple make a new model? The failure of Mac is not because of Microsoft and IBM clones. It's because their practice and hardware model.
Yeap, so, even if I can't make Linux as my desktop, I would be happy with IBM clones ( with much more hardware choices and diversity ) and Windows ( really, Win2k had come a long way ) than a Mac with OS <whatever>. Although I can get a cheap Mac with 15% employee discount from Apple, I'm not thinking about buying one in the near future...
i gots to agree - he stated other unixes have a better interface and more apps - if he is refering to OS X i think he is full of it, there may not be as many *commercial* apps out there for linux as Mac OS X but i am pretty sure there are just as many. as for looks - i don't see it in MAC OS X.Nah, that guy is stupid....
I just love how this guy starts off the article telling his readers not to post their opinions unless they agree with him. :
I guess he hasn't heard of OpenOffice.YES, DESKTOP LINUX is almost free and doesn't require tithing to Microsoft. But soon the desktop Linux folks won't have the free StarOffice to throw at me as proof of their platform's superiority and zero cost of entry.
Either way, it sounds like this guy has some issues that he needs to address.
Up until about 6 months ago, OSX won't even play DVDs.if he is refering to OS X i think he is full of it.
