Using a linux box for bandwidth limiting.

    Hi there.

I have been looking for a way to control bandwidth usage on the network I have at home. Would it be possible to have a linux box with 2 ethernet cards between the cable modem and my D-Link DGL-4300 router and use that to limit bandwidth usage. I have read about using a linux box as a router/bandwidth controller but this would mean losing the DGL-4300 and I don't really want to do that.

    Thanks
    Joe
