    AOL turns to Linux systems to cut costs

    AOL Time Warner has hired software firm Red Hat Inc. to convert some of its computer systems to the open-source Linux operating system, according to sources close to talks between the two companies.

    would this be good or bad for Linux??

    i think it would be bad , because if it does not work out for AOL thats ALOT of bad press for the Linux industry!

    They are switching from Solaris/SunOS to Linux so their is a larger chance it will work out more than great.

    May be the main reason they want to buy is because they want to try?? They have done that with Netscape, ya know. :
