This could be big. If AOL starts shipping with Netscape, it would break IE's dominance and force WEB developers to make their websites compatible with Netscape (~Mozilla). *America Online on Tuesday fired the first shot in what may signal the rekindling of a Web browser war against Microsoft.
As expected, the Internet giant launched CompuServe 7.0 with Netscape bundled as its default browser. CompuServe, AOL's other online service, previously used Microsoft's Internet Explorer as its default browser. AOL itself continues to use IE.

We start by making all web designers follow OUR standards...
jokes aside, it's REALLY good news - even thought I'm told that AOL is All American Crap, the prototype of all which is evil and bad for you.
30 million AOL users worldwide to switch to a GECKO based browser, that should put Mozilla on the map.

actually, they're only putting it on compuserve for now, which only has about 3 million subscribers. this is just to test how it'll work out. if it works out, AOL will switch and then the AOL users who upgrade (who says all 30 million will do it?) have mozilla as their default browser. but nothing stops them from selecting IE as their default browser. so it'll be a lot less than 30 million
Is that a half-recursive acronym?
