One of my personal favorite hackers David Chester just put out a new release of his Xft hack, this time he uses a slight bit of hinting and I must say, even though I thought that the last version was PRETTY and PERFECT in any way possible, this one beats it.

should work for every window manager that has AA support (gnome2, XFCE iirc, kde, ...)
if window managers don't support it, ask them to![]()
