Newbie - Sharing directory with XP?

    ???

    Hi

I am new to Linux and have installed Mandrake on my spare harddrive in my computer, so I am running windoze XP and Mandrake on the same system.

I want to see a directory on my XP harddrive that contains my mp3's, photo's, and movie clips. Can I do this with these two systems? I cannot seem to see the other hard drive depending on which system I am in?

    Thanks

You need NTFS support in your kernel, then just mount the XP drive.

    Hi Lovechild

I am pretty new to this. I have the latest 8.2 version of Mandrake. How would I go about checkin for this support in my kernel and how would I mount the XP hard drive?

    Okay let's try this:

    mount -t ntfs /dev/hda1 /mnt/XP

I'm guessing that hda1 is the partition with XP on it (first HD, first partition) and that /mnt/XP exists..
