has anyone tried mandrake 8.0 on their iBook? Any feedback good or bad?
not mandrake but i did lfs on here (ibook 500 dual usb)
its nice :-D
www.penguinppc.org and www.ppckernel.org (or www.kernelppc.org not sure which) are both good.
oh and partioning, i've installed debian and yellow dog and neither did partitons/booting right!
what /i/ do is make 3 paritions, one boot, one mac, one linux, (make in mac that is) make boot hfs, mac hfs+ and linux whatever you'll redo it later.
now on boot you gotta put the yaboot stuff and set that as bootable. mandrake hopefully has some easy way of doing it but maybe not... read the docs before installing, thats the step i skipped that probably made it so odd
