    XF86 Video question

Has anyone ever made the Valkyrie video chipset work in 16-bit under Linux? I've tried so many various things to "try" to get it to work. I tried setting it to 15 & 16 bit, and have recieve no good results. I switched monitor settings, and every time, the monitor shoots a white line up the screen then goes blank. Any ideas? Some say that it's a waste of time, but I thought I'd ask before I buy a PCI card for it.

Ahhh...forget it. Just ordered a Radius 24-bit PCI card, and a Mac-to-VGA adapter. Don't think I'll have this prob too much longer. :P
