Thread: debian install

    debian install

err I think i screwed up the install which I'm currently doing. I was doing perfectly until I got to dselect i think its called. I screawed up and installed some packages I didn't want. Anyways what can I use to remove the extra unwanted packages over network if possible. If not how can I do it locally by getting a list and description of what packages I currently have instlaled. Also will adding and removing a couple hundred megs of packages fragment the hard drive?

    Re: debian install

    apt-get remove program

To see a list of programs installed:

    dpkg -l | less

To do it the easy way (but may not work remotely):

    dselect
