    kde and fluxbox

I run kde for normal desktop stuff and fluxbox for games and when kde annoys me. Anyways is there a way to add a shortcut in kde so I could start fluxbox and stop kde. I'd also like to do this in fluxbox also. Right now I have to stop x and start it from the console again with startx for kde and startx /usr/local/bin/fluxbox

    Re: kde and fluxbox

    hey.
l ran 'killall -9 X & startx' from an aterm in fluxbox.
it did just as it says...& killed my X session & restarted it.
so i'm assuming you could just modify it to your liking.

    wait!
i did it a second time & locked up my machine.
i did kill xinit the first time, so that may have something to do with it.
you might want to try 'killall -9 xinit & killall -9 X & startx'
i'm not going to try it again though because i don't want to have to sit thru another fsck if it locks my system up. ;D
but hey, it worked for me the first time.
