    Proxy and Intranet...

Hi Guys. I have been a technician for about 6 months now and have been landed with a task, getting a Linux proxy to run! This probably wont sound hard to any of you here but I dont know anything about Linux! I being lended a Linux server (Redhat apprantely) next weekend as well as a laptop and a hub. I need them to see each other and to form an intranet and to see the internet. I need advice and a general guide as of what to do...Any advice is welcome!

    Thanx

Well if you find out what version of Red Hat it is you can start with the Red Hat docs for the version you have.

Is it really hard to set a proxy up? I mean I have never set up a microsoft one either and so I presume the worst. Still I have time on my side and alot of 'help' right? I have around a week to get up to scratch with linux, I know it sounds like a short amount of time, but i am willing to put the effort in. What are my chances people?
