This probably wont sound hard to any of you here but I dont know anything about Linux! I being lended a Linux server (Redhat apprantely) next weekend as well as a laptop and a hub. I need them to see each other and to form an intranet and to see the internet. I need advice and a general guide as of what to do...Any advice is welcome!

Is it really hard to set a proxy up? I mean I have never set up a microsoft one either and so I presume the worst. Still I have time on my side and alot of 'help' right?I have around a week to get up to scratch with linux, I know it sounds like a short amount of time, but i am willing to put the effort in. What are my chances people?
