    SuSe 7.3 [Microsoft What???]

Ive been ranting and raving about the pros of Linux over Windows for the past couple weeks at my company. So much so that one of my co-workers decided to pickup SuSe 7.3 and load it on his home system.

His wife, who wasnt too eager about having her Windows2000 system replaced, was hestitant about the idea, until she saw KDE on Suse 7.3. ....she now refuses to go back to Windows.

Up until this point, I was still running 7.1 at home. Curiosity took me to thier home last night just to "see". SuSe has out done itself. 7.3 is THE Linux alternative to the Windows product line.

I used to dual boot and run 2000 adv server. But now its like going into IBM dosshell. So formatted my second drive and I now use it for documents and mp3s.

SuSe 7.3, the best thing since a vintage John Coltrane record.

I have to agree. I've been using SuSE since version 6.x (now use 7.3) and have always been happy with it. I also agree about the new KDE desktop. It's awesome!

I tried loading Suse 7.1 on my system, but it didn't work. Which version of KDE does it use? 2.2.1? I am thinking about upgrading my KDE in Slack, but only after 3.0 comes out.

Yes, it uses KDE 2.2.1. You should go ahead and upgrade.....I think you'll really like it.

I just might. I'm thinking about doing it after I get my usb scanner and my printer up and running.
