    libranet 2.0 says my hostname is invalid (dhcp)

    i know my hostname is MYWIFESNAME.sd.cox.net and this
    hostname works with my mandrake 8.1 box and with my wifes and sons
    windows boxen. during install when i enter this hostname,
    libranet 2.0 says "hostname invalid". but i know this hostname is correct, and
    i cant get online without it. please help

    The host name is only the first part. That whole thing is FQDN ( Fully Qualified Domain Name ). Edit /etc/hostname file to "MYWIFESNAME" only.

    followup: this is a known bug in libranet 2.0, and is fixed by DL
    a previous version of adminmenu*.deb. thanx, compunuts
