    OpenSSL + LFS + KDE3 = big problems

Ok, I've compiled OpenSSL succesfully and afterwards I start KDE compilation, and it picks up that I have SSL in /usr/local/ssl but when I try to use Konqueror I have no SSL support, the crypto teb is there along with all the settings - but it's unable to load libssl when I point it to the correct dir., did I do something wrong ?

    For once I'm completely baffled.

Oh and I tried both 0.9.6c and 0.9.6d beta1, the latter was the only one to actually put .so files in $ssl/lib/ which kind of bothered me...

/me cries for help.... RALINX.. !! where are you when I need you ?

other than the fact that openSSL is installed in /usr/lib instead of /usr/local/ssl on my system i have no idea what it might be.

openSSL and KDE have always worked together fine over here without even having to tinker with it

didn't u have problems with KDE and openSSL last time as well?
