KDE unable to write to user's home directory

I added a user (my wife) and she can log in fine but when she starts x and kde starts, the error comes up..

KDE is unable to write to user's $home directory.

How do I make it to where KDE can write to the directory? I havent been able to find any info about it.

    thanks in advance!!

    chown 700 yourwife.yourwife $HOME directory
You know, I never even thought about root owning it. I just assumed that KDE needed to be able to have some kind of write permission. I will have to try that when I get home.

    thanks!!
