    Mandy wm choice

After all that prating around with Xlibs, so I could get fluxbox up and running I now can't work out how to start it. I feel dumb, I've tried every config file & utility that I can think of.

All I want to do is add fluxbox to my choice at the X-logon (part of auroua?)

    Thanks in advance?

can you start it from the command line? exec fluxbox or something to that effect?

    that is just a guess.

what about editing the xinit script and ad fluxbox to it ( it's been awhile but i think thats what it had to do in slackware )?

    this might help also

I've looked at xinit, but that just starts xsession. I looked at that and there's nothing to do with wm's in there (least non I can find).

I've played about with wmsession.d/, nothing.

I'll give the CLI a go.

    thanks anyway.

Look at your xinitrc file. I'm not sure where that is in Mandy, but look in /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.

just comment out the exec twm line and insert exec fluxbox instead.

Well it works (and is 8)), still can't find where to add it to the GUI login options, but that's not a big prob, as I don't think I'm going to want any more options

Try using the Login manager in kde, that lets you set-up your Window managers.
