i have used it at work.
I hate it. really, it sucks!! baddly!
Is anyone using CDE? I see that it is available for Linux for about $50. I can't fathom why anyone would want to use it, but I am always open to education.

CDE is one of the most ugly Wm's you can use... horrid....
I don't understand why it was even created!
Well, that's becuase it was around solaris 5 I do believe that it first reared it's ugly head... maybe even 4... way back when, like 10 years or something. Was pretty cool then... and really, a code jockey doesn't need much more (;
if they arn't distracted by the eye candy, they'll code more right?

CDE offers just a tad more functionality than FVWM....
They can use the functionality, just not the eye candy.
CDE is SO ugly! I mean, at least FVWM is configurable so you can make it look good.
/me pukes (funny, CDE is the color of Puke!)
I've actually seen what I think was CDE in 'pretty mode' or something. At the university they have Sun Machines with CDE and it looks very cool. Everything is hushed colors and blends together like as if it was just a painting. Maybe they use a diffrent wm that is somewhat CDE like in usage but it does look kind of cool.
I agree, CDE looks like the color of puke, if not the original creator of.
