    problem with new nvidia drivers

    heres the error well as much of the error as I could copy

    I think the problem has something to do with

    The module is for Xfree 4.2 right ??

    I just killed x then compiled and installed nvidia kernel and nvidia glx and tried to start x again. I was unaware a reboot would be needed or I could do an rmmod for the nvidia kernel module which I didn't know of at the time

    Usually a reboot isn't needed, just an insmod of the nvidia kernel modules.... which should be indendant of X.
