    Window moving in IceWM

Is there a way to specify in the keys file of IceWM to move a window by pressing the Alt key + left mouse drag (like all other Linux WMs).

I'm not too fond of dragging windows with the borders, because I always miss.

    Thanks

Press alt+f7 and the window moves where ever you move the mouse. You can change the keys in your ~/.icewm/preferences file.

That's what I'm asking. I want to be able to change it, but I don't know how.

Uh, you do know that control + alt + left mouse drag does that by default, right?

Really? It doesn't for me! By default, it was Alt-F7. (I just tried)

I'm using IceWM 1.0.9 and both work.

    ( kozumo - ~ ) icewm -v
IceWM 1.0.9, Copyright 1997-2001 Marko Macek, 2001 Mathias Hasselmann

Can you paste the part of your config file that allows you to do that?

Well, it's not in the config file, it seems to be hard wired. Are you pressing and holding control and alt while, at the same time pressing (and holding) the left mouse button anywhere in the window and dragging?

Yeah, I'm doing that...why doesn't it work for me?
I just held ctrl + alt + left mouse drag on the center of a terminal window and it doesn't move it.

Well, that is odd. Let me do some research and I'll get back to you.

Hehe.. I am in the process of writing a PET for IceWM and this comes up.
