How is Fedora Core 1 RH9 ? If you mean the icon at the top left FC 1 is based off of RH you know.

Yeah I know what Fedora is, I just multitask a lot and had the picture open a long before I opened it.

No, I just have a stupid problem with RH because it's such a large coporation. I guess the linux community needs a coporation though.

Pretty much all of linux is corporations these days. The people driving the major kernel features that speed acceptance are all working for Red Hat or SuSE or IBM or Novell. Novell, Red Hat, and Sun are all driving good parts of Gnome development. Debian is one of the last remaining truly free strongholds, but unfortunately it doesn't contribute much to the major products these days...just packages them.
Most new development of note is done by the corps these days....just thought I'd mention, as your dislike of Red Hat seems unwarranted given this fact.
yea i used to dislike redhat (both the distro and the company) for a while too...
but redhat the company has a lot of kernel hackers, glibc hackers, and various other important hackers on their payroll... that alone is reason enough to respect them... because they have invested a lot in linux
same goes for IBM and now Novell and hell, even Sun
