    get rewted

    there used to be kernel patches at getrewted.net for extra security, but they seem to be gone now, anyone know what happened to them?

    yea i've seen those before too, but this one had the openwall patches ported to the 2.4 series, so i could protect /proc and stuff. twas cool

    The NSA has been working with the open source community in development of its own kernel patch called SELinux and an SELinux varient with LSM (Linux Security Modules) patch. Whether its practical or not for you, its interesting nevertheless.
