    ports

I have a little problem, when I use ftp irc or anything else that require a connection to internet port 1024 (destination port) is used as controll port i think, and the next time I use something port 1025 is used and it just keeps going up this morning port 1260 was used to connect to an irc server.

The problem is that I have a iptables script running and I don't wanna keep changing openports and so on anyone know any solution.

I've seen this once, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was or how to enable it. If anybody knows, please do tell

    Re: ports

    'insmod ip_conntrack_ftp'

then you can keep control on the ftp connections with -m state --state RELATED,ESTABLISHED
