Aproxy confusion

I'm using aproxy to forward http requests to a machine within my LAN. This works fine, but with a small hitch.

If you try

http://isis.zeropain.com

you will see the gateway machine. If you try

http://isis.zeropain.com/index.html

you will see the machine behind the firewall.

Whats that all about? ???

I don't think apache is even running on the gateway machine because it complained at me that port 80 was in use and refused to forward reqests while it was.

In fact, thinking about it, could this be a problem with apache looking in the wrong place for the default page, rather than a wonderful 'feature' of aproxy?

If anyone was interested....

I think the problem was nothing to do with my linux box at all, and the university had cached a copy of the page from the gateway machine so I kept being sent to that.

In any case the problem seems to have resolved itself. Wierd.

ahhh - thanks for letting us know. that has happened to me to - but i was not runnig the proxie machine.
