    MySQL vs PHP...Fight!!

    I have a system running Apache, MySql, and PHP4

    When I change the php file ownership (chown) it wont let me login to the MySql server using PHP code. When I change the ownership to someone else (ie users group), it doesnt give me a login error, but I know I'm not logged in because I cant select a dB.

    What gives?
