    Bind won't resolv

    Yo people. I installed bind last night and have been trying for hours to get it working. I only want to use it for resolving outside domains for my local network, not hosting a domain. The only thing I can get it to resolve though is 127.0.0.1. I have opened udp port 53 to try to get it to work but to no avail. I've even tried temporarily completely dropping my firewall but it still won't resolve, so it's not a firewall issue (at least not entirely). I have gazed over my named.conf and made a few small changes, but no good. I checked my named.roots and all the servers are current. I cannot figure out for the life of me what's wrong with it. Here's my named.conf file minus all the comments:

    You need to set the listeners..
    ie:
    Code:
    options {
        directory "/etc/namedb";
        pid-file "named.pid";
        notify no;
        forwarders{
            172.16.0.2;
            194.239.134.83;
            193.162.153.164;
        };
        listen-on{
            172.16.0.2;
            127.0.0.1;
        };
    };
    The forwarders here are your ISP's DNS servers.
