help with java applet in konqueror

i'm using konq, how do i know if java is working?

i have the yabb tags and the smileys there and the work but is that java or java script?

i went to the dslreports page to check the d/l speed or my dsl and it said i didnt have java enabled??

I dont think i know where the java executeable is on my system ( slackware 8.0 useing kde)

what i have in the "path to java executable " is: */opt/kde/share/apps/kjava/kjava.jar

i dont know if this is right? is there a web page i can go to to test if java is enabled and working ?

since i could not get java working in either konqueror or opera 5

i installed netscape 6.2 !!! hey noone could help me so i had to !!!! >

Did you check under the configure tab and see if it was enabled there?

yea i was, thats why i didnt understand why it wasnt working.

oh well netscape 6.2 seems to be working out great for me , no problems ,YET!!
