Thread: MySQL question

  1. #1

    MySQL question

MySQL stores all of its actual database info in the /var directory, right? If so, should create a fairly large /var directory then? I'm planning on setting up phpBB and just need to know where all the actual info is held.

    Thanks

    Gary

    Re: MySQL question

Well it all depends on if you install from a package like RPM or from source. If you install from source, it depends on where you untarr the tar ball. My MySQL databases sit in /usr/local/mysql/data.
