Currently I guess my Host name is just localhosr@localdomain. It serves its purpose as I can access it from across the lan but is it recommended to change this to something else.
The reason I am asking is because I am going to instal wbmin RPM and I want every thing setup corrects before I install it.
Please tell me if I should change this, if so how
I am still doing everything as root. I know its not proper so tell me how to change this
Regarding webmin, what should I change before I install it

use netcnfg to ste you host name - it should be one of the first options.
edit your /etc/sysconfig/network file and replace the localhost.localdomain with what you want.
Then edit /etc/hosts (LEAVE THE LOCALHOST ENTRY!!!)
than above the localhost entry, add an entry for your new hostname.
Is it ok to leave it be or is it recommended to change it
