Thread: php install

    php install

I run from the directory where I unpacked php:
    ./configure --with-mysql --with-gd \
    --with-apache=/usr/local/www \
    --enable-sockets
    ..and it works fine.
It startts running but during "Configuring SAPI modules" I receive" configure error: Invalid Apache Directory-unable to find httpd.h under /usr/local/www"
I double checked that and httpd.h file is located under /usr/local/www/include directory.
Can anybody tell be what it's all about?
    thx.

In the readme file they ship with php they give an example regarding the gd support-they say if header files are in /opt/gd/headers and lib files are in /opt/gd/lib then specify
--with-gd=/opt/gd - exactly what I've done with apache......I'l try it anyway.

Why don't you just pass the correct dir to the install script??

    Re: php install

/usr/local/www is a directory where apache installed.
During ./configure I gave path to the apache source directory /usr/local/apache and it worked. It looks like now I have to recompile apache to have a php support?
