Can syslink be done on directories??

Okay. I'm setting up an Apache virtual server with two different interface to two different networks. It's all working good and all.

But here is what I want to do. I want three directories in the Apache root. The "dir1" is for "net1" side and the "dir2" is for "net2" side. And then the "dir3" which will hold the downloadable software to both side be accessable by both folders inside "dir1" and "dir2". So that I can only do one update to the software versions and both side will get updated at once thus will reduce administration time and synchronizing. So I was thinking to create download directories in the "dir1" and "dir2" and softlink them to "dir3". Am I making any sense??

    So is that be doable??

    TIA

Well, since linux treats everythings as files, it's exactly the same.

for /usr/src/poop exits, and you want a link in your home directory to it:

    ln -s /usr/src/poop ~/poop

    Now you are done.
