Oh well, I figured out how to change the home directory and it's all good now.

Wouldn't that be helpful if you post your solution to the thread so that the next guy having the same problem will be able to do it in short time rather than asking questions again and hoping it someone who know ( like you ) will see and reply it??

Okay then, to change the home directory of a user, you just need to modify the <Anonymous> tag in the proftpd.conf file. The default is <Anonymous ~> and this makes the users root directory his home directory. If you simply change it to <Anonymous /wherever/wherever> it will change their root ftp dir to /wherever/wherever. I'm not entirely sure if anonymous is capitalized or not...i'd check but me server seems to have been shut off and it's at my school so...yeah. Hopefully this will help someone, somewhere.
