actually, I've never even heard of it.
Which one would you choose (I am not gonna list any, cause the only one I know is Trustix)? Personally I choose Trustix (does anyone else use trustix, or at least has tried Trustix?)
actually, I've never even heard of it.
I usually use Slackware or Debian for server distros (if not using OpenBSD). In the future I'll be using Darkfire (www.gnulinux.net)![]()
Depends on what you are serving. If you are using a software package that is only officially supported on a certain distro (and version of it), that's what I'd use. Otherwise, go with a nice stable distro like Slack or Debian or Redhat.
I always go with Red Hat, due to stability, support, corperate emersion, and ease of use (;
My server run Mandrake, but I'm sure RedHat 7.3 would be as fine a choice.
I run 6 servers on Red Hat 7.1-7.3.
I second the motion for RH. I've never gone wrong with it on a server. If I didn't user RH, I would probably go SuSE.
another vote for SUSE
