    MS Force Feedback Wheel (USB)

Yeah-yeah-yeah I use the M$ product - I got it for free though (sorry won't tell the place), and my question is will it work on Mandrake 8.1? Has anybody *used it with linux?

    hello,
1 st - welcome to linux junior!
it should, except i don't think you will have the force feedback feature working.

i don't think anyone here cares if you use MS products, but if you use linux and need help with it then feel free to ask away

Thank you for a warm welcome note!
I know about force feedback - it will not work. And I'll try to configure the wheel after New Year.
    Happy New Year everyone!!!

I believe there is support for the usb feedback controllers though you might want to check at www.linux-usb.org and also do a Google search ( www.google.com/linux ) for your particular model.

And Paul... Don't you ever sleep?

Actually I'm on a 12 day vacation and go back to work on Wednesday. The strange thing is, I sleep well one night and the next (like tonight), I can't sleep at all.

I have a load of laundry in the dryer, my AMD TBird is being repartitioned which takes a few hours with Partition Magic and I'm installing stuff and posting here on one of my other pc's. Got the TV on too. Discovery channel - The Dinosaur Series.

I took the girlfriend out for dinner last night (her birthday) and I told here about the dinosaur series and how well the computer graphics were done. She seriously asked... "So they weren't real?" ???

I really know how to pick them. :

Hey guys, have you ever used an IM service? Or you find it more private to talk on the forums?

Its more fun to talk on the forums because we can all jump in.

Not myself. I only spend time here at ljr or Linuxnewbie though LNO is read-only since my last account was corrupted.
