A.G.P. Card in an A.G.P. Pro Connector

I was wondering if this is at all possible. *I have a
Matrox G450 (G45+MDHA32DB) card and have been doing a little
searching around and have come up with some results, but I am still feeling a little stuck on this. *So any help would
    be greatly appreciated. *Thanks

Never heard of a AGP Pro slot... what do your motherboard docs say? If it supports the AGP standard, at whatever speed (2x, 4x, etc), then your card should work.

Ok, here is the deal. If you have left the cover tab on the AGP Pro slot, you can use a regular AGP card in it. If the tab has been taken off, you need to buy an expensive AGP Pro card to go into it. Otherwise, the AGP card will not be properly recognized and will thus not work.

Thanks. *I been doing some more searching and have also come
up with some stuff, so if anyone is interested check it out.

    http://www.supermicro.com/TECHSUPPORT/FAQs/AGP_Pro.htm

I also found this on a site.

A computer with either an AGP Pro or AGP 2.0
slot will work with both AGP 1.0 and AGP 2.0 cards. *But an AGP 1.0 slot is not compatible with either of the other specifications.
I also found a pdf explaining some stuff about AGP Pro but
forgot where I got it from. *I will put the url to the site when I remember.

Also ph34r this is what the pdf says about the AGP Pro slot.

The new specification, A.G.P. Pro, is primarily designed to deliver additional electrical power to the graphics add-in cards. *The A.G.P. Pro definition includes an extended connector, thermal envelope, mechanical specifications for cards, I/O brackets, and motherboard layout requirements.
*A.G.P. Pro extends the existing A.G.P. connectors on both ends to deliver additional power on the 12V and 3.3V rails. *A.G.P. Pro is intended to supplement, not replace, the existing A.G.P. connector set.
I'll try to post some more info if anyone is interested.
