The more ram the better. 64 is just ok. 128 is better. 512 plus is sweet. Most, if not all, distros will set up a swap partition for you, so you will always have swap with you. Remember, it is more than just the ram, though. A slow hard drive, crappy video, sluggish cpu, etc contribute to slow loading of programs. Some programs are so bloated that they are inherently slow to load (StarOffice, for instance).I saw that the os is working with swap , and programs are fairly slow in loading (such as netscape etc)
What is the recommended mem volume for linux 7.0??
