Hey CP,
what chipset is being used? most the time you can open the case and look at the IC - if ya post the chip ID and post it wit would be helpful, i am sure you know that already![]()
I have got an FIC FZ-133B motherboard, and the only docs I can find on it are in chinese. I have got the sound working but it distorts quite a bit. Would this be a driver related problem or is it more likely to be something else? It sounds like it is receiving inteference from something, but I can't work out what it could be. Has anyone else had a problem like this?
Cheers
CP

It is a VIA chipset. Well VIA is the only name I can see anywhere on the chips so I assume that is what the sound is as well.
are there any numbers on the ICs ? i think there are two options for VIA ICs which should be somthing like these:
VIA VT8233
VIA 686A/B
This is written on a chip about 2cm by 2cm and it says
VIA
VT82C686B
Thanks for all the help![]()

via has a driver for this ->
