Hello,
Did you get the RPM's for it or is this a tarball? Moz 096 worked fine for me for both the tarballs and the rpms. Also what happens what you tryto open it in a terminal
e.g. [pbharris:~]:/usr/local/mozilla/mozilla -mail ?
Finally got Mozilla 0.9.6 installed but noticed there is no Mail or address book. When I try to open either of them I get a message saying "usr/lib/mozilla/chrome/packages/aim/SidebarPanel.xul" is not present. I had previously installed the two required files for 0.9.6 and the address book and mail worked fine in 0.9.5. Anyone have this problem before? Thanks in advance for your time.

Opened it in the terminal - same results. I downloaded it thru a RPM.
what happens when you type rpm -q mozilla-mail ? is it the same version as the rest of mozilla?

No! It is version 0.9.4. Does that mean 0.9.6 is lurking somewhere in my hard drive??
humm.... I don't know if the correct version is lurking about your hard drive, but I would do a rpm -Uvh mozilla-mail-0.9.6-0.i386.rpm and if that does not work try a rpm -e mozilla-mail, then try the rpm -Uvh mozilla-mail-0.9.6-0.i386.rpm
and oh yea - if you have any other packages try to upgrade them too by the same method.
Solved the problem! Went to rpmfind and downloaded (again) Mail and this time it "took." Have it and the address book available now. Thanks to all of you for your help!
