    cdrecord??

    is this the best utility to use for burning cd's?

    are there any one's that have gui ?

    I believe cdrecord is the only utility there is for Linux.

    The gui's apps are all frontends for cdrecord.

    Personally I use XCDRoast which I find does everything I need. Copies cd's, creates images from hd that can be burned to cd and also support writing of cdrw's.

    i was just on the xcdroast web site i think i'm going to use that.

    i'm using a USB burner , wish me luck!!

    Ok... Luck

    I'm not sure if usb recorders are supported.

    www.linux-usb.org may be of some help.
