    ICQLite (and AOL's AIM)

FYI: ICQ has a new version (ICQLite) that is accessed thru a browser page. It is not a clone - you do need to have 2001B ICQ installed somewhere though. A lot of people have signed up so fast they are still working out the bugs and expanding their ability to receive that many people. You have to keep the window minimized but to me it is worth it to have the original ICQ back. AOL's AIM also works basically the same way (thru Sidebar). It (ICQLite) can be reached at http://lite.icq.com.

I may have spoken prematurely - cannot receive/transmit messages on ICQ Lite - have not heard of kxicq2. Where can I go to take a look at it?

And if you happen to be using a really bloated distro like Mandrake, just go to a terminal and type in the name of the program you're looking for. It just might be installed already
