    depmod errors

    I get these errors messages:

depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/[version]/kernel/drivers/[something]/whatever.o

What does this actually mean and how do you fix it?

    hi clovem,
for me it has always been i did not have another module loaded that is needed. i think it means there is a function whcih is not defined properly of it is declared but not defined, or perhaps it has been externed when it should be local.

maybe it works if you rebuild the modules of your kernel .. with

    make modules dep
    make modules
    make modules_install
