How to change Mutt's mail directory ?

Currently, my mutt is reading mail from /var/spool/mail/<username> directory. What if I want to change that to ~/mail file? TIA...

/var/spool/mail/<username> is where your MTA puts your mail. You cannot change it, but you can set mutt's directory:

    Code:
    set folder=~/Mail

    You cannot change it
If he were to get procmail running, then he could have all his mail dropped into ~/mail automatically.

Re: How to change Mutt's mail directory ?

I used to have EXIM as my MTA and it dropped mail into /var/spool/mail/<username>. Both Mutt and ELM-ME+ is configured to use that dir by default. Now that I'm trying Courier-MTA, it dropped mail into ~/Mailidir file ..... :
