I got KDE3 running, and I just downloaded Mosfet's Liquid. I did a ./configure and a make install, and it ran fine, without any errors. But I guess I don't know what to do next. How do I get it to be used as a theme on KDE? ???

Open the Control Center. Go to Look & Feel/Style. There you can change the style to Liquid (called High Performance Liquid).

The actual theme is in 'styles' and the color is in 'colors'.

First of all though, when you run ./configure, you need to do ./configure --prefix=/usr in order for it to get into your pre-installed kde system.

i don't think that'll work if KDE isn't installed in /usr. liquid should be installed in the directory where KDE is installed.

don't give the liquid configure script a prefix.. it'll figure out where KDE3 is installed by itself cuz it needs the libraries and header files that come with KDE3 and then it'll install it in the KDE dir
