    Write mouse drivers

    What's up Guys,

I just bought an IBM Optical Navigator mouse.

Works great on my RH7.2 machine except on button doesn't work the way I want it to and it didn't come w/ Linux drivers
    (suprise)

How can I tweak the existing driver to make it work right?

Or write my own. (I'd like to write them if it's not too hard)

Can someone send me in the right direction?

    Thanx,

If you're not good at programming (and good is really an understatement), then you wouldn't be able to reprogram kernel drivers. If you were at the level you needed to be for this, you wouldn't need to ask us for such general information. However, if you can learn C in a few days, maybe you could try it.
