Hey, if I want to get into this mp3 sharing thing, how do I do it? What is the way to? Gnutella? Limewire? Which, what, how?

Limewire is gnutella.

I use the Napshare client (to gnutella), myself.

hmm i use the linux version - and i dont think that there is spyware in it wether linux or windows version, else you could try open audiogalaxy , just search for it on freshmeat ..

Anyway, can I ask ... to which directory did you download and install the Linux version?

Also, did you have to install as root?

at first download xsatellite [ http://xsatellite.sf.net ] then install it and download the latest AG software from www.audiogalaxy.com and put it
/where/xsatellite/is/installed/xsat/Satellite
