hello,
i don't know if this helps or not but are the fonts enabled in your XF86Config file? for me it is Load "type1" under the modules section.
Hi all,
I've been having a small problem with Mozilla 0.9.6 and configuring the fonts. When I enter the preferences of Mozilla and choose the fonts that I'm wanting to use, it will not save them. When I shut down Mozilla and then later restart it, the default fonts are there again (Abisource-arial, I think). This is happening on my Red Hat 7.2 box, both at home and at work, and on my SuSE 7.3 box. This very confusing. When I setup the fonts in Konqueror and Galeon, they work fine.
Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the reply.....
Well, Load "type1" was not in the XF86Config file so I entered it there. Unfortunately, that didn't fix the issue.
I'm thinking of downgrading to 0.9.5 to see if the problem persists. I think this all started when I upgraded to 0.9.6.
Thanks for the help, though.
Well,
I just reinstalled Red Hat 7.2 on another machine. The version of Mozilla that ships with Red Hat 7.2 worked just fine (saved the fonts after I changed them). I upgraded to 0.9.6 and now I'm unable to save the fonts. This is very confusing.
???
Well, now I'm having problems getting Mozilla 0.9.6 to save anything that I change in the preferences. *At work, I'm running Red Hat 7.2 and just upgraded to Mozilla 0.9.6. *It won't save the fonts or the even proxy settings that I entered.
I downgraded to 0.9.5 and everything works great. *
For kicks, here at home on my SuSE box I made a bunch of changes to the preferences of 0.9.6. *When I closed out of the preferences and went back in, everything went back to the defaults. *
