That is currently what my XF86Config-4 looks like for my mouse. I've tried it with usbmouse and with just mouse and still nothing as a USB mouse. :/
There is a /dev/usbmouse.
wth....
what modules are loaded? this should be much easier....
modules:
mousedev
hid
usbmouse
input
usbcore
usb-uhci
There are more but they're not usb stuff..is there any way to look at the kernel from a Winders partition if it's on a floppy?
Not unless your windows will interpret a compiled C binary.
ruffis ricking smacking twoi bit smelly darn ole galoot....
- alrighty - do you have gpm installed ? it is a mouse app which runs when X isn't . not much of a pointer but works great for copy paste stuff.
can you tell us if that works - install gpm if you haven't and just move teh mouse around - you should see it move.
and oh yea - what kind of USB mouse if this? i saw something about 7 buttons...
Not sure if I've got GPM installed, can check it easy enough and edit this. I've got a Razer 1000 mouse http://www.razerzone.com USB ball mouse with 5 buttons and wheel.
The 7 buttons thing came from a mailing list turned forum or something, thought I'd give it a try for fun.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
gpm is installed, gpm does nothing with my mouse.
On a side note where can I find a nice, plain, simple, KISS type of lilo.conf howto so I can stop booting from this miserable floppy?
