    how do i change the ip address/network configureation in redhat?

    i don't use redhat anymore so i'm not sure about this.. but i think they have a tool called netconfig

    What version of RedHat Linux? 7.1 and above (maybe even 7.0) you can type setup at the cli, and select network config. You can also use the ifconfig tool, or hand edit the /etc/sysconfig/networkscripts/ifupeth0 file. Also, don't forget to make your changes to /etc/hosts as well.
