I bought a really cheap tnt2 pro 32mb ram at a computer show awhile ago for an old computer in my house to upgrade its voodoo 2. This card was made by jaguario and cost me 30 dollars canadain. Now is it possible for a card to display the wrong frame rate? I did a time demo in quake 2 while in fluxbox and got 28.9 fps at 640x480 and it went down at 5 fps for each step up in res I went. I've played a lot of the quake series and half life counter-strike with my voodoo 2 on the same computer and the frame rates were all around 60fps and I can tell this frame rate is much higher then anything i've had with the voodoo 2. So i'm wondering if with this incredably cheap hardware it would be displaying the wrong frame rate.
