    Does it work fine in linux for more than 2 hrs at a shot? Can you leave it crunching seti untis 3 at a time for a few days with no problem?

    If so, I'd look for a bad or missing driver for something weird like a motherboard resource.

    If linux is crashing too, I'd look for some faulty hardware.

    That only happens in Windows....
    Linux works perfect on the box..

    As ph34r suggested, download the latest drivers for your motherboard and assorted other devices. Update the bios, if possible (just in case). That should go a long way toward fixing the problem. Plus, it can't hurt (too much, anyway!).

    I found out that its a driver conflict between my mobo and my vidcard

    I am glad you found the answer to your problem. Did the video card maker have a fix for it, or was it the mobo maker?

    I think it's MS fault From what I have read.. I think the driver that they provide is the one with the problem...
